Ah OK let's take a look at this story. Maybe the police shot this guy for no reason. Maybe he was some innocent kid who did nothing wrong and the cops just targeted because he was black.

They organized the shutdown as a way to persuade transit officials to alter the Clipper card system, claiming the only reason Harding didn’t buy a ticket that day was because he didn’t know how to do so. OK say they did have a reason to stop him. But did they have to kill him? Surely not paying for a ticket shouldn't be held against him. After all I'm sure he was 'a good boy.'

OK fine he was a bad guy. But it isn't the police's job to be the executioner of criminals. We have laws they can't just shoot people! (Even if they deserve it).

Yeah if you'd read up on the case you'd have known that there are a number of issues with the killing and by the subsequent investigation of it by the scandal-wracked SFPD. So it's not particularly surprising if the man's mother doesn't believe justice has been done. It's funny how can simultaneously distrust doctors and blindly trust an organisation that has repeatedly been shown to be criminally corrupt

I don't really care about whether or not you feel any sympathy. I'm saying you don't have the whole picture and your ignorance makes this thread more embarrassing to you than to "libruls". He was on parole for pimping a minor, yes, but that is irrelevant because it's not something the police knew about. He was later suspected of having something to do with a murder somewhere else, but that was never confirmed, nor was any particularly strong evidence presented. It was also irrelevant because the police did not know this. He ran, but, as we've already established, running from the police is not something that should be punishable by death in a civilised society. He was said to have shot himself, but this was not conclusively proven. All we know is that the report shows he was not shot by a standard issue police firearm.

Now, this is one of those cases where it's entirely possible the victim was killed due to his own actions (specifically shooting at police, although this has not been conclusively confirmed either). However, the case was not investigated properly, which is why it's reasonable for the mother to believe justice was not done. In other words, you're basically just embarrassing yourself... as usual.

And, just to be clear, he was himself a minor at the time he was convicted, and the reason he was out on parole rather than still being in prison may have had something to do with that as well as evidence that the person he had tried to pimp had misled him about her age and solicited his help with these activities. None of that is relevant to the shooting of course.

He was shot by his own. It wasn't the police officer's gun it was his gun. The bullet didn't have the same caliber as a police officer's gun. Sorry but there is absolutely nothing to protest here. Except maybe the mom for being such a tard.
