Thread: Digital picture album that can be emailed?

Default Digital picture album that can be emailed?

I want to email a few pictures to someone (mainly taken from cameraphone) and wanted them to be viewed in order. I was wondering what would be the best way to do an album up so it can be viewed in the right order.

I was thinking maybe adding into a Powerpoint presentation but I'm not certain if the other person has Powerpoint and I suppose that still has thumbnails - I don't want any pic seen out of order so no thumbnails. Maybe a Word document?

Is there any better way to do it?

Imgur.com allows you to create albums, decide on the order of the pictures, how they are displayed, and how public or private your pictures/albums are. I used it to create this battery replacement walkthrough a while back: http://imgur.com/a/4yRNz

Plus with it being on the net you don't have to worry about what type of device its being viewed on, or what software that device has installed.

You can do similar email links with most of the online picture hosting services, as well as the online picture album services (e.g. picaboo, shutterfly, snapfish, etc.). Import your pics into a simple album, then 'share' it with someone so they can see it.

And that will show pics in order and not with thumbnails? Cool.

Otherwise there's Google docs where they'd only need a browser or PowerPoint's export as exe feature

I use Google+ for this kind of semi-private stuff. You can make an album and share it only with one other person (or a small group of people).

I'm not sure it gets to your no-thumbnail issue, but I think they have a slideshow feature you could use to start them on the first photo? Or maybe make a Google Docs presentation with the photos, so they won't need PowerPoint to read it.

The most basic option may also be making a PowerPoint and turning it into a PDF.

OK may try the PDF if need be but if online is best got somewhat change of tactic then. Got a series of pictures to be sent to be seen in order, got someone on the other side who can help load a site or whichever and load it correctly before the person to see the images arrives. So perhaps an online site may be best. Ideally with a function to go to the next picture without (while viewing it) showing a thumbnail of other pictures?

Any good picture hosting sites that could do that which anyone can recommend?

    Not Facebook/Google/Twitter.
