"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
A note about this: try to trade with people further away from you and people you aren't already trading with if possible. More bonus monies.
The guide suggests trading with people 2000 spaces away.![]()
Hope is the denial of reality
That's in a different galaxy. Do any of you have 1000 credits to blow on trade lanes yet? I don't.
Well, who wants to start in a completely different galaxy? There are 39 so far! It's oddly shaped, too, check the wiki
By the way, apparently inactive players turn into NPCs at some point. Obviously not yet because the server is young, but there will be NPCs to pillage easily!
Keep on keepin' the beat alive!
Are we allowed to pillage NPCs who aren't level 10?
It takes 15 days for an account to become inactive, so the first NPCs should be created in about 10 days.
Hope is the denial of reality
I'd assume so. If they don't have a fleet and they're less than 10 with a trade route, murderdeathkill them immediately.

Economy has to be over 50, so it will take probably a bit longer than 10 days!

Are Recyclers good investments this early on? Has anyone stumbled across any debris fields?
No. Debris fields are formed when fleets fight. Not much fighting happening yet; the oldest person in the galaxy that I've seen only started ~16 hours before me.
Echo found one, I think! But considering their vulnerability, I'd save them for debris over your own planet.

It was a random, uncolonized planet in the neighboring system. The only inhabited planet there was a guy who built his first urban housing and then abandoned it. The debris was valued only at 7 credits, so I wouldn't consider it a prime candidate for recycling. I plan to send out corvettes, hoping to find more random space debris for my little recycler.
Should have a second trading slot open in a few hours holla
"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
Route available at M34:03:78:23.
It's a bit smallish now, but I expect rapid growth.

I'll take that
We're stuck in a bloody snowglobe.
Second trade route open in less than 30 seconds.
. . .
Er...actually I was looking at the wrong planet. It'll be 30 before my next route opens. If anyone else wants to grab it first, they can have it. I'll send to you if nobody else does by the time mine is available.
Let's shake on it![]()

How much could they get from trading with each other vs. trading with anyone else?![]()
"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
Now I have my crystalline planet with one corvette keeping watch and a spaceport on the way (ca. 30 mins). Looking for a similarly sparkly planet to trade and develop with
