The first amendment of the US Constitution says otherwise. Besides it is standard operating procedure for anyone appealing a defeat at court to say it will be overturned.

Are you auditioning for a job at Breitbart? It's not standard procedure to call judges "so-called judges."

Actually, if you are a member of the executive branch that is exactly what you don't do. And talking about so called judges is getting dangerously close to violating his oath of office.
    Congratulations America

I missed that and thought it was the rest you were objecting to.

I can't think of any appellant ever not saying they had confidence it would be overturned. Take our recent Article 50 case, until the Supreme Court upheld the High Court decision that had gone against the government the executive here kept saying they had confidence it would be overturned. While in reality they knew it wasn't likely to be.

    Hyperbole much?

But wait... different rule if it is a R in office right Loki?

Hell Obamacare as originally passed was not fully constitutional and was a single vote away from having the core completely overturned.

I'd say I'm surprised by your unwillingness to denounce the worst actions and words by Trump, but I'd be lying. Continue playing your whataboutism game (invented by Russia by the way). You'd happily watch your country burn as long as you got to see Democrats suffer.
Hope is the denial of reality

I find it hard not to say the opposite if you got to see Republicans suffer now.

Or Tories in the UK or elsewhere. I can't remember the last time you had a good thing to say about any right wing party or politician unless it was due to them criticising another right wing politician.

The light that once I thought compassion still casting shadows in your action
The words you shared were cold transactions that bring me to curse what you've done
When you're up there absorbed in greatness with such success you've grown complacent
I hope you scorch your many faces when you fly too close to the sun

This is why I voted for Romney and McCain, and criticized Obama for his foreign policy and manner of passing Obamacare. I also support Merkel, and any other conservatives who don't put nationalism above liberalism, something you yourself claimed to do before 2016.

Well I have to admit it is quite amusing seeing Democrats suffer. I don't defend everything Trump does - there are several things I'm pretty unhappy about HOWEVER his supreme court pick is great, I'm enjoying the tears of liberals and I'm cautiously optimistic on what he and the Republicans in congress will do to rip apart Frank/Dodd BS.

Trumpists, what is best in life? Democracy? Prosperity?

Crush the liberals. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of the ACLU.

Actually it's "hear the lamentations of women".

Lost which thread someone was hypothesising about the government allowing another terrorist attack...

Trump says to blame judge if 'something happens'
"In a field where an overlooked bug could cost millions, you want people who will speak their minds, even if they’re sometimes obnoxious about it."

  25. #2395
One of those zero cost and effort meaningless but cynical remarks.

No terrorist attacks: see I'm a great President that is protecting you.

A terrorist attack: damn liberals fault, give me more powers and no blame.

Aka heads I win, tails you lose.

Does it not make you laugh, though? All of their wailing, and gnashing of teeth. For nothing. And now mister Trump will enact everything you ever dreamed of, Low key.

Doesn't it make you want to laugh and laugh, and never stop?
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

It's difficult having satire keep up with the level of crazy that is coming from across the pond but this made me laugh. And flinch that it might be real, especially the final paragraph.
Unspeakable pieces of shit delighted with new scapegoat

DONALD Trump and the man who tells him what to think have confirmed they are delighted with their latest scapegoat.

Trump and his adviser Steve Bannon said it was ‘incredibly exciting’ that any terrorist attack on the US could now be blamed on judges.

Bannon added: “The crafting of a scapegoat usually requires a degree of patience, but this one has come together in a matter of days.

“I hope to be able to use it for a variety of purposes, including recession, civil unrest and any of the White House scandals that will almost certainly emerge. Perhaps I could even use it to justify one of the wars I want. Especially the massive one with China.”

He continued: “When Harry Truman was president he had a sign on his desk saying ‘the buck stops here’. But Harry Truman was a big fucking homo who only used the atomic bomb twice.”

Trump has labeled his approval ratings as fake news

but the best one from last night was his "I'm a big boy!" tweet. All the Bannon news must be getting to him

It's telling when the president's statement would perfectly fit either Baghdad Bob or Zap Brannigan.
Keep on keepin' the beat alive!
