Shimmy? That's a sweet name for a sweet kitty. She looks so happy sleeping in your arms. Cats have nine lives, it's true!

Unless our Zigz has a fondness for wearing flowery tops and pretty bracelets, I'd say that was his lady's arms and not his own ...

It took me awhile to decide if I was happy or having a messed up groove about it, but my daughter got her hair cut off today.

    Is she going goth?

Wouldn't that mean she dyed her hair black and didn't cut it off?

Since the weather decided to be so cold, I got to thinking about how wonderful it is to have a place to live that is warm and dry, have lots of food in the cupboards and freezer, and in general, a great place to rest my Munchkin head at night!
I don't have a problem with authority....I just don't like being told what to do!Remember, the toes you step on today may be attached to the ass you have to kiss tomorrow!RIP Fluffy! 01-07-09 I'm so sorry Fluffster! Bought the Borderlands 6 pack on Steam, if any of you gamers don't already have it, I've got some spares.

I had left a flask of some reaction mixture in the fume hood at work, and I hadn't touched it for a week because of holiday. Today I was about to begin the workup when I noticed the tap of the flask had fallen off - apparently pressure had built up in the flask and the tap was shot out sometime during the week. As a result most of the solvent and reagents had slowly evaporated, and a small amount of the most lustrous crystals I have ever seen had precipitated in the remains of the reaction mixture. And not only they're pretty, they seem to be of much higher purity than anything I had managed to obtain in this reaction before.

    I turned 18 today!
Tomorrow is like an empty canvas that extends endlessly, what should I sketch on it?

    Thanks!

It seems to be a good day as well. Frosty, but sunny. Now I also finally got my hands on Gran Turismo 5, which I expect will be a blast!

The Three Stooges. They always makes me laugh. This is a skit I've never seen before, everything they say is in rhyme.

Happy that John McCain didn't end up at POTUS. He's still alive and kicking, refudiating our worries about his age and cancer. But he's waffled on so many issues like DADT and Bush's tax cuts. When things looked dire, he promised anything to be re-elected as senator from Arizona. He's still singing Sarah's song, too. Gawd, what a wimp.

But thank god he's not a black, anti-Israeli populist, eh? [/sarcasm]

    Yes, Amazon.

I wasn't planning on buying it this soon, but I had the money, so...

I just heard I'm going to have a long weekend Due to some internal moving I got a memo telling me how to label my stuff and that I 'wasn't expected to be at work this friday'. Since we're not supposed to take work anywhere else, that means I have a day off extra.
    Congratulations America

Spilt water on my laptop with USB memory dongle in, but both are okay!
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.
