    I like most animals.

    Except for ants and mosquitoes.
I could have had class. I could have been a contender.
I could have been somebody. Instead of a bum
    Which is what I am

    I aim at the stars
    But sometimes I hit London

But theft isn't "wrong." Nothing is "wrong." That's just a cultural construct that allows human cooperation and by extension civilization.

Do you remember the part in the bible where Jesus had all that property and fought against people who tried to take it from him? Killed them even? Yeah, it was right by that part where Jesus told everyone his life was supposed to be an example for the rest of us.

I haven't spent much time in his parts, but I actually think Lewk's stated views on this are a lot more hardcore than what the law-and-order types here think.

    That's what she said
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

I'm pretty sure if your messiah was alive today he would've had sympathy.

Too bad, again, that my post about how all those times Jesus or one of his disciples stole something or took something that wasn't their property is no longer easily found on the AtariCC website.

I've also already pointed out in the past the difference between believing what should be the law, or allowable under it, and ones own personal opinion. Again, your rejoicing that a thief has died as the result of their theft is your own personal opinion, separate from your belief that people should be able to defend their property. If you weren't a sociopath, you'd feel that a person does have the right to defend their property, perhaps even with lethal force, but you would then not feel an overwhelming enjoyment of the fact that this lethal force was eventually used, but instead lament that someone ended up dead.

"Well I say he IS the messiah, and I should know, I've followed a few."

    or

"He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy."

    Take your pick.

One of Lewk's heroes didn't fair so well. Maybe that's why they have no pursuit policies. The policy protects employees.
Oh yes a company isn't going to have a policy that requires its employees to be put into danger. That is what makes it so awesome when someone does chase down a criminal because it takes bravery and courage to do so. I'm glad the little punk was handed over to the police, he really should be charged with attempted murder as well!

Though its funny when he asks how anyone can have sympathy for an "animal" who commits a petty crime and dies for it, despite -him- being the one who claims to be part of a religion from which all love and peace for ones fellow man springs. Even in texas they say "hate the sin, love the sinner". Lewk only loves these "animals" when they die in the dirt.
Do you mourn when a terrorist accidentally blows himself up before reaching his intended target? I suppose it is a simple matter of degree that we differ. You find stealing "not so bad" and I consider property rights to be one of the ultimate transgressions you can violate. Other then murder or gross physical harm, taking something that doesn't belong to you is terrible.

So the guy gets stabbed while disobeying company policy. He goes to the hospital where he will spend weeks recovering and is fired from his job for disobeying company policy. No more medical benefits and a large hospital bill. Awesome for whom?

Did Lewk just compare stealing tubes of toothpaste with suicide bombing? And is anyone even the least bit shocked or surprised?
The light that once I thought compassion still casting shadows in your action
The words you shared were cold transactions that bring me to curse what you've done
When you're up there absorbed in greatness with such success you've grown complacent
I hope you scorch your many faces when you fly too close to the sun

A man who chases down another man in order to kill him over a tube of toothpaste sounds like a dangerous animal to me. I hope he ends up being sued or at least put behind bars so that other animals are deterred from killing people in this fashion. I also hope that, if there really was a police-officer nearby, she loses her job

Society should not tolerate these dangerous animals. They need to be put away.

Sorry Lewk, but you're in the wrong. I honestly can't understand how your wife can live with you, let alone respect you, unless she's 1. as messed-up as you seem to be or 2. being held hostage. But that's another discussion, I suppose.

EDIT: Lewk's claim that the actions of these dangerous employees is admirable because they require bravery is ridiculous. They require severe lack of judgement, impaired impulse control, mental illness... but not so much bravery.

Hmmm what is the appropriate response to the government's theft of Lewk's hard-earned money??
