Thread: Trans-gender issues for those of us who are not

Is there perhaps any way you could help this person out that would result in them not ending up a prostitute, or falling in with the wrong crowd? It seems to me that you're establishing this as the foregone conclusion. You also haven't really mentioned your attempts to ensure this doesn't happen, you've more so explained how this person you say is a friend is going to become more and more of an inconvenience to you, in addition to eroding your enjoyment of their presence, and possibly eventually present a danger to yourself. This isn't a personal judgment, but my way of pointing out that you should be really honest with yourself about how you view your relationship with this person. If they're your friend you should consider what you'd be willing to do to help them, which benefits both yourself and them, as you can keep your friend, and your friend doesn't end up in the gutter. If they're more your acquaintance, then its mostly up to your personal convictions of how to interact and help your fellow man.

Your question is valid; and strictly speaking of course there is a way I could help in the not becoming a prostitute. That would include opening up my house in Istanbul for permanent residence, and it would mean I'd problaby have to pay the bills for utilities and groceries (most of the time). And even that would not really be a certain way to keep the social circle that I am so negative about at bay.

I don't know if I am willing to go that far at all. I am pretty certain I am not willing to go that far if all it gets me is the same problems at a higher price.

So, that means, I don't know.

Relationships shouldn't be stressful, at least not at the beginning.

    Grease the duck!
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

Maybe I should point out we are not romantically involved.
