Thread: What is making you happy right now

So...Can you catch the Jew from vaccinations? Inquiring minds
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

I suppose that would be some sort of extremely rare autoimmune reaction

I think you have a bit backwards. The Jews use vaccinations to catch you, with embedded trackers and whatnot. Right?

You wake up and you have a perfectly normal baby on your hands. Get them vaccinated and *bam* they're a banker.

And they start speculating on oil futures and creating complicated financial instruments. Even al-Qaeda would be ashamed.

A friend of the family once had a son. They didn't know the dangers back then, so they trusted the doctors when they said the kid should be vaccinated. Now that kid's a doctor himself.

This is how they breed, people!

Had a good outcome in a difficult meeting. We work on a technically difficult project, many different aspects need to be covered which are difficult to separate. We made a huge step torwards haveing a proper interface between out system and the clients software.

Read this as a limerick. For some reason.

    Doesn't rhyme that well fyi.

The words you shared were cold transactions that bring me to curse what you've done

I do not know how to explain this to dumb Americans. Suffice it to say it was a student event, in a student owned housing, that is nothing like frats or sororities. So fuck off.

There was a "big band", a bunch of kids who knew their way around the instruments. They played good stuff, Sinatra and the works. They played good. They looked like they were having a good time.

There were other kids, dancing. Really honest to goodness dancing, like tomorrow never were. So earnest, so eager. So happy. They danced like dancing is supposed to happen.

I know there were many games being played on that dance floor. I remember how the games work, sort of. But I didn't care. I saw them, I heard the band, I saw the kids dancing. They didn't care that I or anyone was watching, they just danced. They danced.

I felt so happy. The feeling came over me like a tidal wave. I could not breathe. I had to leave the room, I broke down in tears.

How joyous it was, that these people could dance. That they could dance, and never smell the ash.

The feeling fills me, even now. How happy can we be!

And how much may be robbed from us. But I do not linger on that right now.

"Dance as if no one is watching." Yeah, that's a joyous thing, even ironic....for the watcher. Something about "big band" music is so intriguing and full of emotion, that few can deny the affect.

I also love watching other people dance, especially young people. Such gleeful energy, immediate responses, and physicality. It's a visceral reaction to the music, an observable connection to the music, played out in actions/reactions that aren't orchestrated or choreographed. It's beautiful.

So, you're saying it was like a frat or sorority, but nothing like a frat or sorority?

Methinks your idea of frats and sororities in the US might be a wee bit skewed and ungenerous by what you see in popular media.

A year and eleven months, celebrating with cookery extravaganza. Lovely egg salad with pork cracklings and a yummy vinaigrette; coffee-and-cinnamon flan with a thin crispy almond-and-caramel nougatine lid on the way; the mademoiselle is prepping a variety of macarons, and after that it's time for pavlova and a coffee zabaione. Eggs are the best

That's funny, you two hooked up around the same time I did with the latest ex-mrs-Ness

    Heh

And the boat that they're on is the New Southern Belle, run by Turk's launches, which runs a river cruise route on the Thames between Hampton Court, Kingston upon Thames, and Richmond. Where the video is shot is a little further down the river near Weybridge.

We take a cruise on it or one of the other Turk's boats on balmy summer days from Kingston where I live up to Richmond. It's a fabulous little trip.

In fact I realised I've got a few pics of it on my phone.

    Sweet

The ginger is snoozing happily with a fantasy novel in her hand, all tuckered out after a long day of lawyering and pavlova-making. I'm kinda chuffed about the parfait waiting in the freezer... didn't have any wine at home so I improvised with bird-cherry liqueur, some elderflower-juice and some coffee-liqueur. Doesn't taste as strongly of coffee as I'd initially hoped it would, but, honestly, it tastes better than I'd hoped. Even though I also forgot the cinnamon

Scored a nice leg of lamb too. It's been rubbed down with spices and pierced through with cinnamon and thyme so tomorrow we shall FEAST.

Cinnamon and lamb does not sound like a viable combo ...

  24. #3504
Not JUST cinnamon! I dunno, a lot of people don't seem to think about it much, but cinnamon is very important in food from the Indian subcontinent, eg. in curries.
